Sago Biscuit aka Savboro

This authentic Sri Lankan Sago Cookie has a very unique taste which combines Coconut and Sago. 

The recipe which I’m going to share today will make 12-13 biscuits. Like any other biscuit, this is perfect with a hot cup of tea.

This super easy sweet will give a nice crunch and can be made in a few mins. 

Let’s get started

IngredientsSago-Biscuit-Savboro

  • 100g Sago
  • 100g Grated Coconut 
  • 100g Sugar
  • 100g biscuit powder 
  • Cumin Seeds 
  • Salt
  • Water

Preparation 

Mix all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and add water little by little until all the ingredients are well combined. 

Divide dough into equal parts. Form each part into a round. Roll out each round and make it thicker. Cut using a cookie cutter to make the edges smooth.

Put into a baking tray and bake for 50mins or until golden brown.
